A comfortable way to travel to Melbourne again 2016 travel blog

The huge free lido swimming pool adjacent to the campsite....a very long...

View of Bool lagoon nature reserve from big hill lookout....not a drop...

We saw more birds around the campsite and the nature trail adjacent

Inside the caves of Naracoorte

Our first view of kangaroos as we left the caves area

We travelled inland from Meningie to Naracoorte on the Riddoch Highway in pouring rain and ithe rain continued all day! This was the first real rain we have seen and it made us slow down which was a good thing as my knee was struggling. .... it was just a shame we could not use the adjacent swimming pool. We did have a swim the next day when it warmed up a little but it was still quite chilly as it was still quite cloudy with a chilly wind.

We went to what we had researched as a world heritage wetland area with bird hides but when we got there there was not a drop of water in sight! We had more luck the following day when we visited the Naracoorte caves and fossil centre the following day.
