Marilyn & I had work to get done today, so we finished off the coffee and then began the moving of “stuff” from the Site we are in now, over to the “Ranch”, which is what we call the new RV Site.
I loaded the truck bed with outdoor furniture, the gas grill, bird feeders, etc, and then drove around the block to our new place on Lark St.
I stopped unloading long enough to chat with Sue, one of our new neighbors, and then finished up and went after another load.
This time I took items from inside the Coach house and moved them to the new place.
We are now ready to move the RV on Sunday morning.
We could move tomorrow but we are driving over to the fairgrounds in Mercedes for the annual event called “Smokin’ on the Rio” which is the Texas Championship BBQ Cookoff.
We thought about judging the Charro Beans or the Ribs, but decided to simply walk around and taste the assorted samples offered by the cooking teams.
After swapping Sites with Greg & Barb on Sunday morning, we’ll get all set up again. Then, in the late afternoon, our new neighbors, Lloyd & Sue, are hosting a Happy Hour for us, so that we can “Meet the neighbors”. That is really nice of them to do that.
Marilyn & I retrieved our bikes from the storage area and rode around the resort. Now our legs are shaking, LOL
We will have a bit less than two months to stay at “The Ranch” before we head back north to Hannibal, Missouri. We are already feel the yearning to see family and friends again, with those grandkids and the thought of their hugs calling us.
Life is Good!
