We started today with a sightseeing drive for about 1.5 hours around Dublin city and Annemarie pointed out the main sights to us. She then armed us with maps and let us loose on our own to look around the city. Unfortunately we left Mum and Dad on their own to look around and at some point in the morning Mum was pick-pocketed. She was not injured apart from being a bit shaken up and we are so thankful that she wasn't hurt although it is a horrible thing to have happened and it could happen to anyone because the people doing this kind of thing are very professional.
We met everyone at the hotel at 4.30pm and then we went to the Guinness Storehouse for a tour, Guinness tasting, dinner and shopping. The factory tour is really well organised and it was very interesting. We had Irish stew with Guinness for dinner (of course) and the desserts were amazing.
Tonight we were home early which is good because tomorrow morning we have an obscenely early start.
