Today we headed to Mexico to show some friends the places we like to go over there.
First we drove to the resort next door to pick up Steve & Cathy, then we paid $2 to park all day at a parking lot on the USA side of the border, and walked to the turnstiles where we waited for our friends to arrive and join us.
It wasn’t long before we saw the smiling faces of our friends, Mike & Sandy and Steve & Jackie, as they approached the border.
We crossed the bridge spanning the Rio Grande River and a few minutes later the shopping began, with brief stops for music, cold drinks, and lots of conversation and laughter.
We gathered at “Arturo’s” for lunch before continuing down the street. The men waited with a cold beverage at the Red Snapper while the ladies finished shopping.
When they joined us we walked across the street and made our way to another shopping venue called the Galleria, where we once again enjoyed the music with more conversation, laughter, and some dancing.
It was simply a day of fun with good friends and we had a very enjoyable time together.
Needless to say we were tired and ready to relax by the time we dropped off our friends.
Back at our RV we quickly changed into our “comfy” clothes, meaning our PJ’s. I have to admit that I dozed off in my recliner after sharing some home-made soup from yesterday.
Not every day in the RV life can be an adventure but today was sure enjoyable.
Life is Good!
