|Sat, Jan 23rd, 2016 St Lucia, West Indies
Marilyn & I awoke just as the ship was pulling in to port in Castries, St Lucia, in the West Indies.
Eddie & Jan joined us for breakfast before we left the ship. It wasn’t much longer when we found ourselves hiring a taxi driver named Phillip, to give us a private tour of the Island.
Phillip was very knowledgeable about the history and other trivia about this beautiful island. I mention that the island is beautiful because St Lucia is easily one of the most beautiful islands we have ever visited.
Flowers and lush tropical plants are everywhere, with large banana plantations found in a wide abundance.
We purchased a few small items to take home with us and took lots of pictures to share with you once I can get them posted.
We were back aboard the Royal Princess early in the afternoon and went directly to the Buffet for lunch.
Marilyn & I watched a movie from the comfort of our bed before getting ready for the dinner in the Main Dining Room.
For the past three nights we have opted to eat in a different location simply because we liked the meal being offered there. So, German food, a Seafood Extravaganza, and then Brazilian food last night, has been our choices. Tonight we are going for the Chateaubriand in the Main Dining Room.
It sure has been another wonderful day, although we did experience a brief rain shower several times. The brief shower had no effect at all on our fun.
We sail for Barbados this evening.
