Today we went exploring in Death Valley National Park.It covers 3 million acres and is the hottest, driest and lowest of our national parks. It holds the record for the hottest air temp at 124 degrees. Average rain fall is less than 2 inches with some years of 0 rain.Badwater basin in the heart of the valley is 282 ft below sea level- the lowest point in North America. The weather today was 68 and mostly sunny, wonderful for hiking! We took our truck thru a rugged, beautiful back country drive called Titus Canyon-taking almost 4 hours. I took so many pictures today it's hard to only pick out a few. The natural beauty of this place is amazing.Tomorrow going back to see more.
