Kids Are Home
Jan 2, 2016
|When I left you in the blog yesterday, we were waiting to hear from our daughter that they were in Houston, on their way to St Louis.
Unfortunately when Jennifer called, she asked us to come back to the airport in Harlingen to pick them up, because they had no flight to Houston, due to weather.
Marilyn began getting the Casita ready for company again, while I drove back to Harlingen in constant rain and fog.
It was nearly 10:00 PM by the time we made it back to the resort here in Mission.
This morning, we were up early and left at 8:00 to have breakfast at the new Diaz Diner. The rain continued to fall from the sky as we once again drove to Harlingen. Our third trip in less than 24 hours.
Marilyn & I returned to our cozy condo on wheels as the kids finally winged their way through the sky to Houston, then Dallas, and finally to St Louis.
Marilyn did laundry through the afternoon, and cleaned the RV as well.
By the time the kids reached St Louis we were in the “relax” mode.
Tomorrow I have a lot to do, while Marilyn will have more time to relax.
It sure is good to know the kids are safely back home, and now Marilyn & I will return to a more normal life of retirement.
We sure enjoyed our time with Jennifer and the Grand kids, but it is also nice to get back to normal, just living the RV life.
Friends, Eddie & Jan will be here tomorrow.
Life is Good!
