Alamo Springs and Fredericksburg
Oct 28, 2015
|I carried my second cup of coffee outdoors and started getting things ready for the road.
I dumped the holding tanks, then put the hoses away in the proper storage tub in the truck.
I rolled up an electric cord, then put tables and chairs away. A few additional minor chores completed all I intended to do this morning.
Marilyn & I both were soon ready to go, as the gang headed out, wives in one car and us guys in the other car.
We arrived at Alamo Springs, joining the crowd already gathered for a great hamburger.
The burgers were served with enough onion rings and Cajun fries to serve the six of us.
The loud rock music took away from the enjoyment for us and we commented that this had not been a factor in the past.
We were totally stuffed as we left and headed for Fredericksburg, where we soon arrived at our destination, called "The Tasting Place", formerly known as "Rustlin' Robs".
We picked up a purchase for Mike & Marian, bought the same Rub for ourselves, and called Bob to see if any of our friends in that group needed anything.
The ladies wanted to stay and do some more shopping, but the guys felt a super need for a nap, and headed home.
Mike & Sandy were the only ones in our group who had a desire for more food, so Eddie & Jan, along with Marilyn & I, stayed home when Mike & Sandy left for dinner out.
With so much to watch on TV, we relaxed.
Tomorrow we hope to be on the road around 8:00 in the morning.
We have plans for the evening tomorrow, as we hope to get together with our friends, Mike & Marian and Chuck & Coletta.
It has been a good day today and we look forward to the winter in the RGV.
