A Hot Shower
Oct 23, 2015
|The rain came down last night but I heard very little of it. Marilyn told me this morning that it had rained hard. We were happy to see that it wasn’t raining at all this morning, and headed off to breakfast at the local Cracker Barrel.
By the time we arrived back at the Dealership, they were in the middle of the work needing to be accomplished.
Marilyn & I drove south to Fayetteville trying to find a mall we had visited some years ago. We saw much of the college campus and eventually located the mall we were looking for.
I dropped Marilyn off at a shoe store and drove myself to a Verizon store where I hoped to find out why my new smart phone’s Mobile Hot Spot will not connect to my laptop computer. The hot spot worked perfectly in the store so I now suspect that my computer is the problem.
I also stopped in at Walmart to purchase a new GPS for Marilyn. The one she used in her car stopped working completely and is now nothing but trash.
We stopped on the way back to the RV to fuel the car at a price of $1.97 per gallon. I drove the truck to the same place and fueled it with diesel at a cost of $2.21 per gallon.
This time, when we returned, we found that the work on our RV was nearly finished. We were happy because we knew that a hot shower was in the immediate future. We are really tired of sink baths in cold water. Marilyn put fresh linen on the bed and we took turns getting a long, hot shower.
Tonight we’ll stay put, but plan to leave tomorrow, with a destination of either, Checotah, Oklahoma or Perrin, Texas.
Soon, we’ll be at our winter home in the Rio Grande Valley.
