Finally, Plans Made
Oct 21, 2015
|This was a busy morning!
We began in a more relaxing manner, by sharing our morning coffee outdoors.
We passed on breakfast because we had calls to make.
I decided to call Wheels RV to check on the water heater. I was told that it arrived today but they still couldn’t work us in until Friday and they would need the RV all day on Friday.
The weather forecast calls for rain and thunderstorms all day on Friday and Saturday, so we came up with a new plan.
We will leave here tomorrow afternoon, drive to Wheels RV, and stay overnight parked next to their facility.
The work will be done on Friday, and we’ll have to remain there one more night. We would move to a nice little RV Park called “The Creeks” but they are filled for Friday night. They had one site remaining for Saturday, so we grabbed that, preferring to stay put rather than drive in rain and thunderstorms.
Sunday, we hope to leave early in the morning, and drive all the way to Perrin, Texas. It is a long day with a bit more than seven hours of driving. But we will then spend the night in Texas.
We hope to move on to Kerrville for several days, arriving on Monday afternoon. If it all works out, we would spend three days with friends and then move on to Retama Village on Thursday, Oct 29th.
With all of this in mind, I went to the office here at Coachlight, and asked about a refund for one day if we left early. These folks are really excellent businesspeople and immediately agreed to my request. They also said we didn’t need to hurry tomorrow, as we prepare to leave.
I must say that Coachlight RV Resort is an excellent place to spend some time. The WiFi is the best we have found in any RV Park as we have moved around the country. This place is one of the best, and a large part of that is because of the people here. Mike is one of the finest. I intend to write a good review for them.
So, as we leave Missouri behind and move on, we are hopeful for fair weather and safe travel. Then we’ll say for sure that Life is Good!
