This morning starts off with computer problems and a long time working on the phone with my bank trying to get access to my account online, had to upload chrome on the computer to get it to work and after a frustrating couple hours was able to get things working right wow, sometimes I just hate computers, LOL. Then it was packing up and loading my car and off for some breakfast at Ken's house of pancakes ( a placed listed in Lonely planet as being a great place for breakfast) very good place to eat, I had pancakes 3 of them one with macadamia nuts, one with coconut and one with bananas, wow. Next stop was at the Rainbow Falls (named for the rainbows when the sun shines through them didn't get to see it) a bit of rain coming down had to pull out the umbrella, on to Pe'ep'e falls and boiling pots,(these pots are not hot water but water that swirl making it look like it is boiling). On to road 19 Hawaii Belt Road heading up the north east side of the Hawai'i the big Island, a short way from Hilo the sun comes out making it a beautiful drive through the country side, off on a scenic side road, then back to the main road. At Waimea I turn onto Kohala Mountain Rd going over the mountain some great views from on top. lots of big cattle ranches on this part of the island. Next stop was in Kapa'au to check out the Kamehameha the Great Statue and to get a dish of ice cream, LOL back on the road toward Kawaihae. As I was heading down this part of the island I come to the Hamakua Macadamia Nut Factory and my little car needed a rest so I had to stop, LOL lot's of nuts to sample great. Now back on the road with a stop at a couple more beaches before heading back to the airport. I have spent 3 days on the Big Island and have drove 400 miles around the island seeing some great things, but also missing many more so maybe a return trip in the future LOL.
