Wednesday we spent the afternoon exploring Spearfish Canyon/Roughlock Falls. It's a beautiful time of the year as the falls are running heavy & the foliage is beginning to change. I'm sure the colors will even be better in another 10 days or so as the temps haven't really been very low yet. But it was certainly pretty & the 75 degree weather made for a wonderful day.

We were surprised at how many other folks were at the falls visiting. It's really been clearing out in the area since Labor Day. Most of the kids are back in school & many of the rv'ers have moved on to their winter destination. Usually we too would have already moved on but we're still finishing up with doctor/vet issues. Both are going well and we are very grateful for that!

Our tentative plan right now is to pull out on Monday, October 19th. Not sure of the route we will be taking, much depends on the weather/snow at that time. It's been raining for the past two days but no white stuff & we sure hope it holds off for awhile! You might remember we got a good snow storm the day before we left last year, a first for us here in Custer over the past 10 years. We sure can't complain with all of the terrible weather they are experiencing on the east coast. Hope everyone stays safe out there! Today we plan to hunker down, watch a bit of tv, read & relax. Hope you guys have a wonderful, blessed day as well!
