Marilyn & I had plenty of time for coffee before walking together to the Gift Shop for “work” this morning. I was leading tours, being a "Cave Man", while Marilyn was working in the Gift Shop, bagging up the purchases, or simply being a "Bag Lady".
There were four busloads of students coming from Troy, Missouri, to tour the Mark Twain Cave this morning. In addition to the students, we watched as carload after carload of adults drove in, as many of the parents arrived to accompany the students.
There were 174 students and 45 parents in all, so we ran the tours only 10 minutes apart.
I led two tours back to back. The students and adults were all well behaved and a good time was had by all.
My final tour was finished at 12:30, or a few minutes after that time, and Marilyn was waiting for me, having finished working a few minutes earlier.
We walked up to the restaurant for a hamburger, then walked back to the RV.
Marilyn did several loads of laundry and cleaned the floor in the RV while I took care of a few business chores.
We spoke on the phone with several of our friends around the country and we sure enjoyed those conversations. We miss family and friends.
Marilyn fixed a simple dinner and we settled down to relax.
Both of us work at the Cave tomorrow but I hope to get the oil change and 20,000 mile checkup done on the car once we get away for the day.
Marilyn has her car all clean and looking really nice so it is bound to rain tomorrow.
That’s the way life goes but we don’t mind.
We do have a busy week ahead of us and we never know for sure what waits around the bend.
One thing we do know for sure is that Life is Good!.
