Driving through Texas. When you are moving from northwest to southeast, it sure is a long drive. Today we are on the shores of Inks Lake State Park, in a very nice site with 50A power and good water. Nice to have power to run both air conditioners since it is hot, back in mid 90's.

We enjoyed the drive along very good Texas highways today. Very little traffic and smooth roads and cheap gas. We found gas at $1.68/gal in Comanche. Why is there such a variation in prices? Ten miles around Comanche, gas was $2.15 - $2.19. We appreciated the lowest gas price since we left home in July.

Inks Lake is a huge park with over 200 camp sites. We explored in the morning with a walk to the Devil's Waterhole and s short trial overlooking the valley. In the afternoon, wandered through the campground and along the lake to the park store for refreshments.

The sunsets have been spectacular from our campsite.

Tomorrow - Home. It will be nice to be home after almost 12 seeks on the road.

What a spectacular, magnificent, rewarding, and fun trip.
