Back in Texas. Leaving Logan, NM this morning we pointed the RV toward Caprock Canyons State Park. We arrived at the park mid afternoon, got the RV hooked up and relaxed for a while. Then it was off to walk the canyon rim trail. The view of the red rocks reminded us of Utah and Arizona but with trees and bushes on the red rocks. On our walk we saw more grasshoppers than I have ever seen - grasshoppers and crickets everywhere. Just as we were arriving back at the campground, there was a big bison on the side of the road giving us the eye. As we entered the park this afternoon, there were about 50 bison lounging around the small lake.

Tomorrow we head to Possum Kingdom State Park.
