|Traveled today from Topeka to Andover, KS, an eastern suburb of Wichita. We checked into service at Flint Hills RV to get the air-conditioner repaired. It all started out on the down side when the service manage forgot about our discussion resulting in him saying he would "work me in." We had another discussion, he got his tool bag and went to work. After resetting two compressor reset switches, removing, cleaning and reinstalling the unit the problem I had described finally raised its ugly head. He then called the chief engineer for the manufacturer, also a good friend of his and also here in the area. They put their heads together determined that the cooling fan motor for the dual compressors has failed causing the compressors to overheat and shut down. At the end of the day we were plugged in to power behind the shop for the night. The next day Linda and I ran some errands and shopped most of the day. When we returned to service it was up and running. We spent that night again at service. It worked great all through the night. I paid the bill the next morning and we departed for a campground in Wichita for a couple more days just to be sure it is fixed. Stay tuned.
