Today's post continues with Part 2 of our visit to Bear Country yesterday. After doing the driving portion we parked the truck to take the 1/4 mile Babyland Walkway Loop. Soothing waterfalls grace the trail as we made our way along with educational exhibits every few feet. We were offered a shuttle service & gratefully accepted as we knew Larry would enjoy it much better with less walking. We had a wonderful shuttle driver, named Vel Orr. He was a wealth of knowledge & extremely friendly & helpful. Thank you Vel, we really appreciated your time & friendly smile too!!!

Along the loop we enjoyed watching the grizzly bears as well as more than a dozen different species of smaller animals. Of course the bear cubs seem to get the most attention with their charming antics! The cubs are getting quite big this time of year & some seemed to be in that 'terrible two' stage! You know what I mean right??? Slapping & growling at each other although there did seem to be one major instigator, lol!

As I mentioned in yesterday's post, the weather was a bit cooler today, overcast much of the time & this seemed to create a bit for activity then it might on a hotter day. Almost all of the animals were up & about, making for an awesome day! Since 1972 visitors have enjoyed a leisurely drive through this unique animal park with a final stop at Babyland. I hope if you get into the area that you too will stop to enjoy the wildlife from the comfort of your vehicle. You won't regret it :)
