We're Ready For The Road
Sep 7, 2015
|We slept with all the windows open last night, and awoke this morning with the blankets wrapped up around our chins. It felt a bit “nippy” inside the RV.
While Marilyn started the coffee, I went outdoors and started a campfire.
Our friends, Eddie & Jan, then Bryan & Sherry, joined us as the campfire slowly turned into my more familiar, camp smoke. (Hopefully, I have a couple of pictures, which will appear familiar to my friend, Bob)
There may not have been much coughing but there was a plentiful supply of harassment.
Bryan & Sherry had to change Sites today and we had chores to complete, in order to be ready for the road tomorrow morning, so we all headed in separate directions.
Shortly before noon, we finished up, and pronounced ourselves ready to go, except for the usual last minute chores.
We all made a plan to have an early dinner at “Pizza Madness” in Canon City, rather than to cook a meal before travel day.
A shower and clean clothing made me feel good and we all left the resort at 4:00. Bryan & Sherry followed us while Eddie & Jan rode with us.
The pizza was very good and the conversation was easy and comfortable.
We were back home about 6:30 and quickly changed into our “comfy clothes”.
Chris & Gia walked up to exchange hugs and wish us safe travels.
We’ll be seeing them in the RGV this winter.
We’ll all be together before long and then we’ll say for sure that Life is Good!
