A Do Nothing Day
Aug 30, 2015
|Today was pretty much a lazy, do nothing extra, catch up day.
Marilyn did several loads of laundry, went outdoors to read and fixed a nice dinner with a meat loaf, mashed potatoes & gravy, and corn.
I made phone calls and talked to friends, then posted pictures on the past couple of days for our trip to Estes Park.
We made some travel plans, but mostly relaxed.
I have a feeling that tomorrow we will get more busy.
Because we are leaving in a few days, I need to call our mail forwarding service and have them send our mail to our next address.
It is hard to believe that we'll be home hugging those grandkids in less than two weeks.
Even harder to believe is that we'll be in the Rio Grande Valley in just two months.
I don't know how many of you RV folks who read this blog, travel with friends, or how many of you like to travel alone.
There certainly are advantages and disadvantages to each option.
We often travel alone but also like to travel with good friends.
When we leave Missouri in October, we will travel with friends, Bob & Janet, Jesse & Ginger, and Steve & Cathy.
Steve & Cathy are new "full-timers" and will have fun seeing places they have no visited before.
The rest of us will have just as much fun showing these new places to them.
The important thing about traveling with friends is to assure that each couple is free to make their own choices about where to stop, how early to leave in the mornings, and how long to stay in one spot before moving on.
If you all agree on these things ahead of time, it is even more enjoyable to travel with friends.
So, with that little tidbit of rambling, I will leave you with a gentle reminder that Life is Good!
