Larry & Lee Ann's Journey travel blog

Onyx, checking out the ducks on Stockade Lake, one of her favorite...

Tipi time with my honey!

Almost showtime!

Lou, Me & Beverly...It's a beautiful evening!

Larry had his consult with the surgeon yesterday & is scheduled for surgery Monday, August 31st at 10am. They have decided to put him under at Black Hills Surgical Hospital but they only expect it to last 2-3 hours. And they are going to let him come home that same day.

Please pray for guidance with the doctor's hands & that they get all of the cancer out easily. They found a small area inside the anal area that they will be biopsying as well which will determine whether he has radiation & chemo or just radiation.

Larry is doing well, although he is in a great deal of pain in the hip & groin area. He's also been struggling with restless leg, possibly caused by this issue. Hopefully all of that will cease after they remove this lymph node issue. If not, we'll pursue further treatment at the orthopedic center after he recuperates a bit. Looks like we may be in the Black Hills a little longer than normal. Not a bad place to recuperate though :)

Larry's sister Bonnie arrives on Monday, September 7th. We are soooooo looking forward to her visit. Planning a helicopter ride & a visit to Bear Country this trip. Two new things for this trip. And music, food & visiting with local friends too!

Tuesday evening we had dinner with Dick & Lou & their friend of 40 years Beverly. She is visiting from Virginia. After a nice salmon dinner we piled into the car & headed over to Crazy Horse to explore the museum & watch the laser-show 'Legends in Light'. Even though we've been there 10 running years we never tire of going. And it's amazing how I find something I didn't see on past visits in the museum. But, I'll post on that next time.

Thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful evening!
