Well here we are again. Travelling across Saskatchewan is always an adventure. We stopped at Silver Lake (Maidstone) then on to Foam Lake municipal park, and Yorkton Municipal Park. Would stop at these places again as they were all well kept and reasonably priced. The Weather has been brutally hot and the AC has been a blessing. Scrappy has claimed his own vent in the bedroom!
We arrived in Oakburn on the 12th of August and have been having a great time visiting with Ernie and Rusty. Rusty made Lasagna for supper the first night and it was excellent! I made my soon to be famous hamburgers last night and so far no one has complained about stomach cramps. The price of fuel jumped by 20cents a litre yesterday which is not good news for someone halfway through an odessy such as this but c'est la vie...
Irene has been spending long periods in Ernie's garden, which is at the peak of perfection and may require taking the pellet gun to irene to ensure enough is left to put away for the winter!
There is talk of a trip up to the old farmstead this afternoon which is a prerequisite whenever we are in the area.
