Another 196 miles (US2) brought us back to the yard of Joanne and Chad for a few days while we waited for an appointment at the Cummins repair facility. During this short visit Joanne and Joan did some canning, both peaches and plums. We also went to a campground in Sandpoint, Idaho to help celebrate Joanne’s friend Cara’s birthday. Rained most of the day but that did not slow the party down.
It has been great visiting with Chad and Joanne. They have gone out of their way to make us feel welcome. It is amazing how Chad can manage a job along with volunteering with the fire department and Joanne can manage two jobs and take college courses while making time for us. We are very proud of both of them.

Only nine miles and we were at the Cummins Coach Care facility. We were there for normal service on our house engine, generator and transmission. We also wanted them to look at a leak that developed in our diver’s side axel hub. All the service was completed except for the axel hub: they did not have a part but explained the replacement procedure so when we get the part Ken can replace it himself. Of course, since we were only nine miles from Chad and Joanne we visited them frequently.
