Trails and Tales - Our Year on the Road travel blog

The reality of highway dangers was too close as we came upon a very recent fatality. Gary thought he recognized the motorcycle as the guy that passed us earlier doing about 80mph with no helmet. Some family will be getting the worst news. We've noticed so many folks ignoring the speed limit, cutting people off, or passing on the right. Today's sad encounter has stayed on our minds all day.

On a brighter note, we are camping tonight just off I-90 in Presho, SD at New Frontier RV Park. The lady in the office was making a quilt for her nephew, so, of course, I had to chat awhile. She showed me her sketches and explained her complex design. She definitely has vision, enthusiasm and fine skills. I love to see that! What a treat and how nice to end the day on a positive note.
