|We are in Watson Lake, YK home of the famous sign post forest. The drive up from Toad Lake was very nice and we even saw some wildlife. Saw a couple of herds of Bison and a black bear. Susan was happy. Lots of wilderness and beautiful lakes and rivers. I am sitting at the library in Watson Lake-- though their internet would be fast enough to post some pictures but so far not. We head tomorrow for Whitehorse, the largest "city" in the Yukon. 55,000 people. Then on to Dawson City, a gold rush town supposedly stuck in the 1890's--we'll see. People are few and far between out here. Lots and Lots of trees! Lots of lakes and rivers, but few gas stations. Often it is 70 miles between places to get gas-- got to plan ahead.
Weather has been generally cool and cloudy, but it does change quickly. Will be cloudy, then sunny and then rail all within a couple of hours!
