Jessica's Fall in Italy travel blog

Well, I suppose most of you had Labor Day off today, but I, on the other hand, had to start school. I had Italian first (at 8:40 am), which was good except that I already knew everyhting we learned, so I am considering switching to Italian 2 (if I pass the placement test). Then we had Italian Life and Culture, which is going to be great! We are having a potluck dinner, where we all have to make a traditional Italian dish, we are going to see an opera, plus Italian movies, a Renaissance banquet, and we have to do group presentations on any Italian subject. My roommates and I chose Tuscan food and wine, so we'll have to go to the Tuscan region to do a little "research" :). After a short panino break, we all had to attend the fine arts orientation, and then I had my first day of drawing. It was interesting, if a little frustrating, because we have the whole range from fine arts majors to people who haven't taken art since elementary school. All of my professors seem all right, so I think it will be a great semester!
