Ed & Marilyn 'The Happy Wanderers' travel blog

Many if not most of the full-time RV folks use on-line banking to pay bills, etc.

A Credit Card is a must for most Americans and the RV crowd is no different.

The credit card company tries to mail your new card in time to reach you by the first day of the “expiration month” of your old card. However, for RV folks who get their mail only once a month or so, this can mean that you might not receive your new card until well into the expiration month.

That is the case with us right now, and we are going on a road trip next week. We will be gone on the date our mail arrives with the new credit card.

Today I called the customer service department of our credit card company to inquire about the actual, real time, expiration date for our card.

I was informed that the last date you can use your credit card is the last day of the month in which the card expires.

That is “good to know” information.

Our friend Bob, walked over to join us as we sat outdoors with our morning coffee.

We always enjoy Bob’s company.

We chatted about a wide variety of subjects and were joined for a short time by Jesse as he was out walking their little dog, Bella.

Later, Marilyn stripped the bed and did a couple loads of laundry.

She has the place looking really nice inside.

We thawed a couple of boneless, skinless, chicken breasts for the grill later in the day.

Bob brought us some Chili Lime Sauce which we wanted to try, so that was brushed on the grilled chicken when it was nearly done.

While I was busy at the grill, Marilyn fixed fresh corn-on-the-cob. She had also fixed a pitcher of lemonade with orange slices in it.

I must say that the entire meal was delicious.

Once things were cleaned up we sat with our books and relaxed.

Both of us had moments when we were oblivious to anything going on around us.

We had wonderful weather today, even though the clouds remained overhead for most of the day, and we had a short period of rain.

The temperature was great and we were able to leave the windows open all day.

Life is Good!
