Things have calmed down quite bit along the south Texas coast. We drove over to the ocean beach last night and walked out a Corps of Engineers fishing pier to watch the sunset. The ocean is still a little rough and discolored from Bill. The beach is firm sand and is drivable. There are quite a few fisherman that have returned to surf fish and fish off the rock jetty at the inlet to the Colorado River.

People are also starting to return to the campground and it looks like it may be close to full for the week end. I suspect many are here for a fishing tournament based in Matagorda this week end. We're going to just ease back and relax until we leave on Sunday.
