Still Setting Up
Jun 18, 2015
|Yesterday evening we walked down to the Site inhabited by our friends, Jesse & Ginger.
They hosted a cookout, with Gia, Ken & Jean, to welcome us.
We enjoyed relaxing with these good friends.
Good food, a cold drink, and plenty of easy conversation.
The darkening clouds forced us to head back up the hill to our own site where we watched the sky as the rain and then hail fell profusely from the dark clouds overhead.
About 30 minutes later, all was quiet and we sat together listening to the Satellite radio and reading our books.
It was a good night to sleep with the windows open so we did just that.
This morning we awoke to a clear blue sky and typical mountain temperatures. Awesome!!
After sharing our coffee and some breakfast, both of us got busy.
Marilyn went into a cleaning frenzy and then, as if that wasn’t enough, she did three loads of laundry.
Our little rolling home sure looks nice now!!
While she was busy inside, I went outdoors to connect the sewer hose, then installed the stabilizer under the hitch.
After that, I put the screened room up in the site. That took awhile but it sure looks nice and we look forward to using it all summer.
I still need to install the lights and put the furniture inside, and I hope to get that all done tomorrow.
We plan to drive into Canon City tomorrow to pick up some items we need around here and a few groceries.
If Marilyn plays her cards right I just might take her out for breakfast as well.
As is usual in the mountains, it rained in the late afternoon, but we could still see blue sky and some sunshine.
We now have our Satellite TV working fine and will simply relax tonight with some TV and a good spaghetti dinner.
Life is Good!
