Marilyn & I were absolutely deluged with messages, e-mails, phone calls, cards, texts, and “in person” hugs wishing us a Happy Anniversary, yesterday. It was awesome and made us feel so blessed to have the family and friends we have.
Thank you all so much!!
We realize that our time remaining here in Hannibal is quite short and we’ll be back on the road again in only 10 days.
We hope to make it to Wichita, KS on the 13th, then move on to Elk City, OK on Sunday, the 14th.
That will put us in position to have some work done to the RV on Monday morning, the 15th.
Dalhart, Texas will be our destination for Tuesday the 16th, and our plan is to travel through a corner of New Mexico and arrive at our summer home, Mountaindale Cabins and RV Resort on Wednesday the 17th. We have never towed through six states to get from Missouri to Colorado before.
Now we’ll have to wait and see if all goes according to plan.
The summer will be filled with fun activities with friends, Jesse & Ginger, Bob & Janet, Eddie & Jan, Ken & Jean, Chris & Gia, and Greg & Barb, who will spend a considerable portion of the summer in the same Resort. I’m sure other friends will be visiting for shorter times and it will be nice to see each of them.
Marilyn & I are also planning a short road trip to South Dakota to see friends, Mike & Marian, so you can see that our summer will be quite busy.
I’m not sure if all that activity will slow or speed up the aging process, but it will be fun for sure.
By the way, that is fairly typical of the way RV life goes for us.
Maybe that is why we love it so much.
It is interesting to note that nearly all of the friends mentioned above will be together for the winter in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas, along with others who will travel with us, or who live in that area.
What a life!!
We also hope that our daughter and her family will visit us in Texas during the winter.
So much to look forward to. I have trouble just slowing myself down to get in the planning mode for the fun and adventures we will experience with friends and family.
Life is Good!
