our canal boat

the deck hands

Life on a canal boat really suits me. We have had a great time hanging out on the baise.

Its such a relaxing life style - each day travelling to a new town along the waterways and then exploring the rich history that each town has to offer. Today we went to Vianne which was a very small town surrounded by a wall. We then had to master the art of getting thru the locks on the river to our next town. The kids loved being in charge of the ropes (not so much tiding them up) and driving the boat. My favourite part was when Mark and I sat down to a complimentary bottle of red wine and Georgia drove the boat.

What more could you want from your day.
