EUROPE2015 The trilogy begins in the north travel blog

The walk to the arch is crowded but exciting as it reveals...

Can you imagine driving around it. Ask Pam, my eyes were closed.

We followed our GPS on our way back to Paris from Normandy...

It did not look this big in the brochure.

There is an underground walkway to get to the arch.

The sides have relief sculptures dedicated to the fallen soldiers. An unknown...

We will never forget our visit.

The Arc de Triomphe was is one of the spots you must see when you visit Paris. It was constructed after WW1 in memory of all the lost soldiers. Hitler and his storm troopers marched through it after taking Paris. The Allied forces also marched thru the arch after they kicked his butt. Today thousands flock there to shop and see the view up the Champs-Elysees. We are no different.
