A lazy, slow start to the morning felt good. We laundered and then prepared our tax material to be sent to our CPA. When all was complete, all was mailed at the Anahuac Post Office and we had lunch at Tony’s BBQ, always good. Stephanie printed posters for us to use to advertise our interpretative programs, which we distributed.

On the way to Walmart in Liberty, we stopped at Lake Charlotte, but with all of the rain, there were no mudflats for shorebirds, so we shopped in Walmart and then headed home in the rain. While we were unpacking, the volunteers gathered in the community room and we had a good time just chatting. Good thing we had picked up a chicken for supper at Walmart – we added slaw and a baked potato and called it good. We have crashed for the night.
