No news really. I will be leaving here tomorrow (Sunday) probably at about 3-4pm and heading for Armidale. I don't know if the roads are going to be open between there and Coffs Harbour though, due to the cyclone. I was hoping to get as far as Wollomombi but due to my late departure from here I don't think I will. Not a big deal though, as long as I get to Port Macquarie by the 26th, after getting the fridge fixed in Coffs Harbour, all will be ok.
I have been meaning to tell you for weeks now that the most beautiful place I have seen so far is the country around Walcha, absolutely drop-dead gorgeous. Wish I could spend more time there just looking at it.
Heard a great line in a movie today - "...these animal welfare people are a bit like Christ ians: everyone is cheerful and well-intentioned, but after a while you just want to go and do a bit of raping and pillaging, or kick a cat". Been there, done that.
And surely the most stupid question ever asked by a journalist: "How relieved are you that no lives were lost in the cyclone?" Do they learn this at journalist school? Must do, because they all ask questions like that.
Lastly, have you noticed that, after Monday and Tuesday, even the calendar says WTF?
More probably on Monday.
love to all
