It's is Monday and the first wave of balloons took off only to find themselves in the air when the snow started! Not good for the balloon or crew. Since we are in the third wave, we just watched as the snow began and decided to take a panorama train ride to Gstaad. Jon had flown to Gstaad in the balloon on our last trip here.

The festival dinner for pilots and crew on the top of the mountain was great as usual. We traveled up the mountain for 20 minutes on the enclosed tram which kept us warm and dry and then we transferred to the chair lift for the remaining 20 minutes ride up to the top. It continues to snow with 4 - 6 inches expected by noon tomorrow.
Good wine, good friends and good friends. There was a very nice band which sang all Rolling Stone songs.
Ed got involved in an indoor snow ball fight! Good thing he ran out of snow from the window ledge quickly! It could have gotten ugly real fast! We had the choice to ski, sled or return down the mountain on the Chair and Tram (in the dark about 10 pm). Ed and Carl wanted to sled down after a few glasses of wine but their wives and better judgment prevailed! Here's hoping the weather man was right and we have good weather tomorrow afternoon.
