Today we continued south on I-95, reached I-20, and started heading west. After 260 miles across South Carolina we reached Madison, just 10 miles inside the Georgia state line.
Janet and I still find it interesting to see the countryside along our route. The western part of South Carolina is flat, sandy, and covered by pine forests. The whole area is very rural and serious red-neck country.
I think we made a good decision to leave early. We missed a snow and ice storm on Saturday, and Connecticut is now supposed to get a blizzard on Tuesday! We are missing it all completely.
Tomorrow we will travel through Atlanta on a 349 mile travel day to Meridian, Mississippi.
