We arrived in Monkey Mia (named after a boat) just shortly after noon. The beaches were gorgeous. We stopped off at Shell Beach, which was a really neat place. The shoreline is made up of millions of tiny little white shells for as far as you could see. In some spots, they say the shells are 15m deep!!! Further down the shoreline, they actually mine the shells for livestock feed (for the lime) and for landscaping products (instead of using bark mulch).
We caught a great sunset on the beach and had our first hostel cooked meal since Scotland. WAH we miss you, Kent!!!!!!
