Boat taxi to town

We took a water taxi to the town of Lautoka, Fiji and walked through the streets for several hours. Then we had a taxi driver do a little tour for the two of us out to a village, to coffee factory, through the country side and then to the part of town that held the Parliment and President's house. It was a very interesting glimspe at how hard it is to make a living in these towns and how expensive real housing is because so many foreigners are buying it to have a second home or create a resort type of setting for tourist. The water taxi folks were very persistent as were the trades people in the market area of town.
