Ron & Elena's 2014 Travels travel blog

Beautiful sunset Friday night.

Sunrise this morning. Both photos taken from our campsite.

(Ron Writing) After several days of driving and sightseeing we needed some time to stay home and relax. Yesterday I worked on the large backlog of blog postings and did some other odd jobs. Elena did some cooking and cleaning. It was a bit windy today and we had some fine dust blowing around. At least it wasn’t hot so we could keep the house closed up during the time when the wind was really picking up the dust.

Today, Sunday we had another relaxing day at home. I finally got caught up with blogs and photo processing. Elena made biscuits and gravy for breakfast this morning. Then this afternoon she baked rhubarb cobbler that we are planning to sample for dessert after I finish this last blog entry.

It was kind of windy again today but not so much that the dust was blowing around. It was also cooler today – only got up into the high 60’s. That’s still very nice weather for this time of the year.

We have a very slow internet connection here. If it weren’t for our cell amplifier and trucker antenna we wouldn’t be able to get on the internet. Using the amplifier we get a strong signal but it’s only the old 1G service so it is very slow – but it is reliable.

We’ve been having some beautiful sunrises and sunsets here almost every day. This is a great place to camp – very quiet and peaceful.
