|We arrived at O'Hare at 9 AM & stood in line for 3 hrs with the other 300 passengers from the cancelled flight because the Iberia ticket counter didn't open until noon, however, we were told the night before someone would be there at 10. Our goal was to get them to re-ticket us on the American Airline flight via Heathrow to Madrid that our travel agent got us on. Good news is they agreed, so we didn't have to pay for another ticket. The additional great news was that once we got to the gate, we got upgraded to Business Class, which meant we got better food than coach, plus our seats were fully reclining, which would have been a BIG bonus had we been able to sleep a wink on the 8 hr leg of our journey. Oh well. We had a 2-hr layover in Heathrow, so now I can say I've been to London even though we didn't leave the premises. Our flight from there to Madrid was slightly over 2 hrs, so that was tolerable in coach.
