It was a long driving day. We drove freeways only and had to deal with thunder, lightening, pouring rain, winds, not to mention the traffic delays. The last 100 miles was not relaxing as the winds took a lot of concentration on our driver's part! Heavy traffic through downtown Houston was stressful but pretty to look at.
We left the hot and humid Galveston and arrived here in Aledo and it was raining and about 66 degrees. The locals say we missed 102 degrees just a couple of days ago.
We did see a lot of Friday Night Lights on our drive. We will be here just overnight and then will be heading to Amarillo tomorrow.
