Ed & Marilyn 'The Happy Wanderers' travel blog

With only a few days remaining for us to be in the mountains of Colorado, we have been getting things ready for the road.

Today I dragged the air compressor out of its storage bay and aired the tires on the truck and the RV. I then took care of the air ride system and that part was finished.

Eddie stopped by and we enjoyed a nice visit for awhile.

Then it was time to get busy again so I lubricated the landing gear, leveling jacks and slide mechanism.

There were three deer resting in the shade across the road behind our RV, and I put a bucket of water out for them. Alas, they simply ignored the water today. In past summers here they have actually enjoyed the water while we sat only a few feet away from them in our site.

Marilyn & I decided to fix some catfish to go with the freshly made cole slaw.

I coated the fish with blackened seasoning and fried them in a skillet with a little bit of oil. They were delicious!

After we finished the meal and cleaned up the dishes, I carried the trash to the dumpster, then returned to the RV for a shower and some clean clothing.

A bit later, Eddie & Jan, and Jesse & Ginger, joined Marilyn & I sitting outdoors in the brisk breeze, just chatting and enjoying the company.

The temperature was in the upper 70’s to the mid 80 degree range and the wind blew strongly all day.

The group of friends broke up a little before 7:00 PM.

Marilyn popped some popcorn for us to enjoy while watching TV this evening.

Life is Good!
