The early morning temperature outdoors was only 53 degrees this morning.
That did have an effect on the ALS challenge presented to Jesse and me by our friend Bob. Ginger and Marilyn had also been challenged in the same manner, by Janet.
With the cool temps outdoors we all decided to wait until it warmed up before dumping a bucket of ice water on our heads.
With that in the back of our minds, Marilyn & I drove into town for groceries and returned to the RV by 12:00 noon.
As Marilyn put the groceries away, she noticed ice build-up on the metal fins at the back of our fridge.
That prompted her to defrost the fridge. She started doing laundry as soon as the fridge work was done, so she stayed busy most of the afternoon.
Jesse walked over and suggested that we complete the challenge while it was warmer and we could do it in the bright sunshine.
Before long, Jesse and Ginger, Marilyn and I, were standing outdoors with buckets of ice water, which were soon dumped on our heads.
Ginger managed to get the video of that event posted on her FB page so I borrowed it and now it is on my own FB page.
I can try to get it posted on this journal entry but I cannot promise any positive results.
Later in the day, Ken & Jean walked up to join Marilyn & I sitting outdoors. About the same time, Jesse & Ginger walked over and then Chris & Gia joined us.
We sure enjoyed the conversation and laughter with these fine folks, all friends, and it was a good way to spend a couple of hours.
The Saturday night ice cream social was the last item on our agenda.
That is one fine way to wind up the day.
