Our last night in Sugar Land with John & Sara

Us on the deck

John & Sara on the deck

Us, but not an ussy

Before enjoying a last night in Sugar Land meal at a Turkish restaurant, we had a drink on their lakeside deck.

Our 300 mile journey on Interstate 10 to Baton Rouge went smoothly enough, but we did suffer a couple of hours from funny wet stuff coming out of the sky - the first rain we've had, so far, of any significance. Got into the Best Western (again, we're becoming addicts) at about 4pm and watched the final round of the US PGA Championship (with Julie, some roast chicken and a bottle of wine for company). Who said romance is dead? We roared on Rory.

On the way over here, we resisted the frequent roadside signs offering us the chance to "hold baby 'gators". Having been prompted by the signs, I might go shoe shopping tomorrow - looking for a new pair of Crocs.

On catching up with the news on the internet this morning, I saw a headline which made me think. It said "Couple row across the Atlantic and don't divorce". It did make me think of what Julie and I are doing, but also raised the question of how they can make a row last that long? Ours are usually over in a few hours.
