We did have an interesting drive from La Paz to Cochabamba though. We had to leave the main road and travel down a dirt path for a while as there were student protesters on the highway. We're still not too sure what they were protesting, but we made it to Cochabamba fine, and it made our drive all the more adventurous! Today we took a taxi up to see the world's largest statue of Christ, then went to Capilla Cristo de las Lagrimas de San Pedro, which has the sculpture of Christ that cries human blood on Good Friday. The church was very small, as was the sculpture, but intersting to see non-the-less. We enjoyed the day on our own, including two stops for popscicles. I had an awesome creamscicle which was pinapple flavored with coconut icecream! Other than that, we've just been walking around town and people watching in the plazas. A few more hours before we catch our night bus just the two of us, hopefully we make it to Sucre safe and sound!
