Ed & Marilyn 'The Happy Wanderers' travel blog

Yesterday, shortly after I had posted my blog, friends, Jeff & Nan, arrived and parked in Site #83, next door to us. They were followed shortly after by Eddie & Jan, who parked in front of Jeff & Nan.

We greeted these friends with hugs of welcome and then left them to finish getting set up.

It wasn’t long before they were ready for all of us to sit outdoors and visit, getting caught up on things.

Being worn out a bit from their day of travel, the group didn’t linger very long and we left our friends to get some rest.

This morning, Marilyn & I sat outdoors with our coffee, enjoying the awesome weather once again.

Our friends slept in and seemed quite relaxed this morning.

I unloaded the front storage compartment in the RV and set a sleeping bag out to dry. It must have been in the path of the water leak we suffered a couple of days ago.

My friend, Bob, seems to have had a similar problem in his RV, which is nearly identical to ours, and knows how to fix it.

We’ll check him out. LOL

Marilyn was anxious to get started on her new cross stitch project so I helped her measure the material and she then sat in her recliner working with new colors, etc.

With plans to have dinner with Chris & Gia in Old Colorado City, we walked down to the office to call our daughter before we drove over to pick up Gia.

With Gia riding along we left the resort a few minutes after 3:00 and drove to Jorge’s for drinks and dinner.

Chris arrived to meet us only a few minutes after we arrived at Jorge’s.

We enjoyed the great margarita served at Jorge’s and then ordered our dinner, which was also delicious!

The conversation flowed easily and never waned, as we lingered long after our meal was finished.

We finally began to feel guilty about taking up space and said so long to our friends, with hugs.

Gia rode back with Chris, while Marilyn & I searched for the “Show Tunes” on our Sirius XM Radio. Never did find what we were looking for and arrived back at the RV in the steady light rain.

The rain meant that sitting outdoors around the fire pit was not part of the evening entertainment today.

Tomorrow is another day so we’ll see what that day brings.

Friends, Bob & Janet and Jesse & Ginger, will arrive tomorrow afternoon.

Life is Good!
