It's Ice Cream Day
Aug 2, 2014
|It was nearly 11:00 last night when we turned the light off, hating to leave the TV Western we were engrossed in.
When I awoke briefly around 3:30 in the morning, I was tempted to turn the TV ON to catch more of it, but a split second later, I fell back to sleep.
Marilyn & I drove into town early this morning, for her monthly weigh-in. She has lost another pound and has to weigh-in once per month, so she chose today.
After the weigh-in we opted to drive over to Sheldon’s for a lite breakfast of bacon, eggs, toast, and coffee.
We made one more stop to pick up some fresh sweet corn, tomatoes, sweet onions, and green beans.
Back at the RV she put things away, then defrosted the freezer.
I had made the bed and carried trash to the dumpster, so most of my chores were done for the day. LOL
Later in the day, Chris & Gia dropped by and we sat together outdoors, enjoying the company and the awesome weather.
Gia is riding with us and we are meeting Chris at Jorge’s on Monday afternoon, for some food and a margarita.
They will be in the Rio Grande Valley this coming winter and we look forward to seeing them again.
Tonight is the night for the ice cream social so we’ll walk down to the office for that.
I have to have some ice cream for my friend Jesse. Maybe some for me too! LOL
Ice Cream assures me that Life is Good!
