All Well Again
Aug 1, 2014
|Feeling much better when I woke this morning, I could hardly wait to get started on the day.
I was up at 5:00 this morning, but remained quiet, waiting for Marilyn to wake up on her own.
Later in the morning, we shared a pot of coffee, then did the normal chores, cleaning, etc.
Next we took our showers and dressed in clean clothing, then drove to the Post Office in Penrose to mail some legal documents.
Then we drove to the RV service place in Canon City to purchase a new anode rod for our water heater.
WalMart was our next stop where we picked up some groceries.
We spoke on the phone nearly the entire time we were in the store. We talked to our daughter and each of the grandkids.
They have sure been having a good time at the Fair.
We had one more stop to fuel the car and then we headed back home.
Marilyn & I talked about how much we miss the Rio Grande Valley and how we look forward to being back there this coming winter.
Back at the RV, we unloaded the groceries and put things away.
Marilyn fixed some lunch, then settled down to work on her cross stitch project. She is nearly finished with the mountain lake scene, so I replaced the empty black ink cartridge in my printer, then printed out the Kenya Sunset pattern she wants to start next.
The usual clouds built up in the afternoon, and the distant rumble of thunder was followed by some light rain.
It didn’t even rain hard enough to force me to close the window beside my chair and we enjoyed the cool breeze coming in.
I started watching a marathon TV show on AMC, called “Hell On Wheels”.
It is an interesting western based on the building of the railroad through the western part of the country in the 1800’s.
It runs for about 26 hours continuously, so I won’t get to watch most of it.
We have some plans to go out for dinner with Chris & Gia, and other friends will soon be here to stay for awhile. We’ll be sharing some fun times with Eddie & Jan, and Jeff & Nan.
The time passes so quickly and we’ll be on the road again before you know it.
Life is Good!
