Hello family & friends,
We're back on the road again. We decided to spend a week with grandsons Brodie & Isaiah to a location of their choosing; Corpus Christi, Texas it was. After an enjoyable 4 hour drive from Austin we checked into our hotel, complete with swimming pool, much to the boys' delight. Our first day was a beach day. Building sand castles, watching the para-surfers, and the birds. Evidently that area of the Corpus beach front is quite famous as a world-class para-surfing area.
The next days were spent touring the WWII aircraft carrier USS Lexington, and the Texas State Aquarium complete with dolphin show.
The hotel pool was a favorite location, and we managed to find some good restaurants, as we each had a choice of where to eat for a meal. It was a great time spent with the boys who are good fellow travelers willing to explore and open to new experiences.
Next up is the Texas Archeological Society Field School in Columbus, Texas with our friends Bunnie & Peter.
