One Fine Day
Jul 12, 2014
|Another awesome day greeted us this morning.
We finished off the entire pot of coffee while sitting outdoors, watching the “critters”.
We were reluctant to move from our reverie but needed to get started.
We cleaned and straightened things inside the RV, then took our showers and were ready to face the day.
We enjoyed the beautiful scenery along the drive into town.
The shopping was relaxed and easy as we strolled around, looking over the selections available.
While we had the joy of cell service I called Llano Grande Resort in Mercedes, Texas, planning to cancel our reservation for a site this next winter.
The guard at the gate answered the phone and informed me that the office is closed on weekends during the summer.
I’ll have to call back on Monday, I guess.
We were back at the RV before noon.
With the groceries put away, Marilyn went to the screened room to read, while I answered emails and did some work on the computer.
She came back inside to work on her cross-stitch project, about the time I was ready to go outside to join her.
This RV life sure is tough.
I grilled a couple of rib eye steaks for our dinner while Marilyn fixed a baked potato and a veggie. Our dessert was found at the ice cream social later in the evening.
Of course I can’t think about the ice cream social without thinking of our friend, Jesse. He is the only person I can think of who likes ice cream as much as I do. In fact I know that he can eat more of it than I can, and would demonstrate that ability if he were here.
Feeling all stuffed, I’m ready to simply relax and watch some TV this evening.
Life is Good!
