We slept in this morning and then sat outdoors with our coffee, once we managed to climb out of bed and get dressed.
We watched the birds and the deer, and lingered even after the coffee was finished, hesitant to go back inside.
We do enjoy the early mornings here!
Mainly we were just resting after the road trip, where we were more active. LOL
Finally we decided that we needed to get started on the chores needing our attention.
I made the bed, did some small chores outdoors, like hanging the feeders and putting water in the birdbath. Neighbors had told us that the deer had been drinking from the birdbath.
Marilyn busied herself cleaning and doing laundry.
I tackled a chore that has needed doing for some time. The basket beside my recliner needed attention. I sorted through the unopened mail, paid a bill by check, and mailed a couple of checks I had received, off to the bank for deposit.
I then began making phone calls to settle some business issues, and before I knew it, the time had passed and it was getting late in the afternoon.
Marilyn fried some fish for dinner, coating it with Cajun seasoning, and fixing some veggies as a side dish.
We have no pictures to share with you today. We need to get out and about in a few days, but we hope to simply stay “in camp” until we just have to get out for supplies or something.
We are working on a possible change in our plans for the winter.
We’ll see how things work out.
Because we enjoyed a quiet, relaxing day today, we will cut this short.
We’ll return tomorrow, perhaps with more of an explanation about our winter plans.
Until then, remember that Life is Good!
